Manny Farber was a notable painter, critic, and teacher. The Film Society of Lincoln Center is hosting a tribute to him called Film Society Remembers Manny Farber from Nov. 14-26. Leonard talks to two of Farber’s friends and colleagues: Kent Jones of the Film Society of Lincoln Center; and writer and critic Phillip Lopate.

I heard a slighly different version of that Kissinger story. Walter supposedly said "that's because Henry only listens to himself."

Listening to Leonard and his brother at the same time, I am reminded of Henry Kissinger's brother, Walter. There was just a year's difference between them in age, but when asked why Henry spoke with such a strong German accent, when he didn't, Walter answered "I had more friends."
