LISTEN, I LIKE DAVE MASON, BUT WHERE IS HE NOW AND WHAT HAS HE DONE LATELY
I agree with John Carpentieri and Neal. Mason created some great music as a member of Traffic, but I think he missed the boat considering the great collection of music produced after he left. Winwood and Capaldi were a great together. And now Winwood has proven that you don't need to strive to have hits on the charts. Great show, as usual.
With all due respect to Winwood, there was tremendous resentment on his part towards Dave Mason because of the popular success of the latter's songs. Mason was more or less fired from the group though there were ocassions when he temporarily was allowed back in, especially when Traffic toured.
That was a treat, Leonard... thanks for the scheduling him.
Was that a bit of a back-handed compliment to Dave Mason? Mason was a major part of Traffic.
I agree with John Carpentieri and would only like to add that Steve Winwood's vocals were always spectacular. Great voice!
