The Teapot Dome Scandal of 1922
Thursday, March 13, 2008
The Teapot Dome Scandal of 1922 was a major federal corruption disaster under Warren G. Harding, who's widely considered one of the worst presidents in American history. Laton McCartney’s new book is The Teapot Dome Scandal: How Big Oil Bought the Harding White House and Tried to Steal the Country.

let's hear Dick Cheney's response to this author's very important comments about same.
According to Ike Hoover, chief usher at the White House,Nan Britton was a liar when she wrote that she visited Harding in the White House...there was no proof that they even ever met.
President Harding never profited one penny from this scandal. It was a no-bid contract and Albert Fall, confirmed in the Senate by acclamation, took a $400,000 bribe. Plain and simple.
Please ask Mr. McCartney to compare the incompetence of the Harding administration to that of the current administration of Bush the Lesser.
Thanks,
