We've been listening since last night and think you are doing a job worthy of New York. Welcome to the best city in the world. Great opening piece tonight.

Welcome to NYC, Mr. McKnight!

Just heard your interview by Leonard Lopate, and have two unrelated thoughts:

* I am always surprised when people speak of "seeing a concert." Probably because there is an inherent theatrical component to any performance of any type. Still....

* When it comes to mixing styles and genres of music, I always think of what Haydn said: "All music is good, but the boring kind."

Can't wait to hear your shows!
