Judea & Samria (aka West Bank) was never legally part of Jordan. Under the UN's 1947 partition plan — which the Jews accepted and the Arabs rejected — it was to have been part of an independent Arab state in western Palestine. But the Jordanian army invaded and illegally occupied it during the 1948 war. In 1950, Jordan illegally annexed the territory.
It is currently not controlled by Jordan.
