The story of the counterfeiting operation of the Germans is the topic of "Counterfeit Lives" by Avraham Krakowsky. The book is one of a series called "The Holocaust Diaries", by Avraham Yaakov Finkel (Feldheim Publishers). In the book, Krakowsky, a Chasidic young man from Sosnowice, is brought to Sachsenhausen to be a member of the counterfeiting work. His job is to inspect the bills for errors, as well as to mark them so they appear used.
