As a painter, I have been using GREY'S ANATOMY as
a starting point for paintings and drawings relating to internal anatomy for several years.
The work is abstract, but the illustrations have
been an inspiration-they can be seen at

I would like to read Bill Hayes' book-
Leonard Lopate's show is great-as are so many shows on WNYC-
Grey's Anatomy is online with all sketches and a search function.

Grey's Anatomy was right up there with Janson and Gardiner for fine art students in the 70s. Not sure that's true now.
