It’s got to be cheap… Overwhelming population, let me repeat that, overwhelming population of Americans can not afford $8 or even $4 a pound tomatoes, no matter how good they taste or how good they are for you. Isn’t it far more important to get people to eat vegetables then it is to turn them off with the elitist attitude that you have to buy way over priced organic food? Don’t forget most people don’t own land to grow food. Many who do have land don’t have the time because they are to busy working to make ends meet. Not everybody lives in Manhattan (thank god) making Manhattan wages and most people don’t get a chose of where they get to live.
