Wernher von Braun built rockets in both Nazi Germany and post-war America, and he had a lifelong obsession with being the Christopher Columbus of outer space. Michael Neufeld of the Smithsonian's National Air and Space Museum is the author of a new book, Von Braun: Dreamer of Space, Engineer of War.
