Bill and Hillary: For Love or For Politics

Thursday, November 01, 2007

Bill and Hillary Clinton worked together more closely during their eight years in the White House than the public ever knew, according to biographer Sally Bedell Smith. In her new book For Love of Politics, she explores the intricacies of the Clinton marriage, and draws on previously unavailable papers and testimonies from scores of insiders and officials.

They both work for the Illuminati. If you think the Illuminati is a myth, then you lost the plot.

Oy, Hillary hasn't been a leader in the Senate. She's just barely out of her first term, fer cryin' out loud. This author is really a hack. Almost makes me like Hillary.

Times have changed. Rs can't afford to delve into Ds sexual pecadilloes (sp?) right now because theirs are so much worse.

Besides, who among us of that generation didn't have one-night stands in college? It was after the pill and before AIDS-the golden era of sex.

I know Bill has had his 2 terms as president--but would it be possible for him to run as Hillary's vice-president? Anyone know the law on this?

You know, thanks to the Bush Administration, anyone running in '08 has an easy platform:

"Joe Smith 2008. I could hardly do worse!"

Whenever yet another Bush catastrophe breaks, my mom will nod her head wisely, and say "Yes, but no b***j**s in the Oval Office."

I'm shocked the GOP hasn't gone hunting for Hillary's Wellesley one-night stands....yet.

There is so much that is legitimate to argue against Hillary, but this woman seems to go out of her way to choose things of no import, like decoration & entertaining. Of course they're a political couple with little historic precedence, but some contemporaneous analogues (Doles anyone?). She just doesn't like the Clintons, and there's nothing more to her book than that.

Yes and this woman is trying to rewrite history...the reason Lewinsky effected anything is because the Rs and the corporate corrupt media blew it WAY out of proportion

Imagine what a better world we would be living in if the corporate corrupt media paid even HALF the attention to the GENOCIDE in Darfur as they did to Clinton's affair

Excuse me...the reason why people have forgotten is because one was an AFFAIR and what Bush did was turn an attack on this country into an excuse for invading another country that had nothing to do with it under completely false pretenses

Come on now...priorities!!!

Nobody died when Clinton lied, baby! Bill was impeached, lost his political clout and credibility because of sex. W's administration has led us into a senseless war, outed CIA operatives, undermimed the constitution, sanctioned torture.

We remain Puritans, all. Death, murder, war, corruption, secrecy: no problem. Sex: {{GASP!}}

Lewinsky scandal rests squarely on shoulders of Rs, who did it strictly for the purpose of destroying D party, U.S.A. be damned.

Let's not rewrite history. Bill did welfare reform in Arkansas. He didn't plagarize a R idea. Also, NAFTA stemmed from DLC, which was an attempt to move Ds to right. And Clinton's & DLC's economists had a healthy respect for the benefits of trade.

However, wrt international trade, the Rs have turned it into a race to the bottom in support of Robber Barons (aka philanthropists). So let's ditch the DLC & the Clintons. They're so 90s, and the 90s are long gone.

What about secrecy? Likely to be no improvement in Hillary's Administration vs. W's. I understand that Clinton library won't release any documents between Hill & Bill.
