How do you compare combined benefit systems (PV-Thermal - Conserval) to single benefit installations (PV, SWH, daylighting)?
Do you think the market will move in that direction?
I'm a roofing contractor, just getting started in the energy rated roof systems. I also install tubular skylights & solar powered attic fans. How do I get Started?? I'm a small business with lots of experience in my field. My resources are limited. How much Green $$$$ do you think I will need to get my name out there. How do I make the right contacts?

Go Buy low voc primer instead of the painters using regular primer. As far as I know, paint does not stop the primer from off-gassing. Check with the tech department of your paint company to see what they say. AMF make a great low voc primer and you can get it online or go to either http://www.bettencourtwood.com/ (he is in brooklyn) or http://www.greendepot.com/StoreFront.bok (paul is in the bronx). Both can ship to you. Amf is not cheap but worth it. Your paint may have a low voc primer too. Both Bettencourt and Greendepot are good sources.
Question: I'm moving into a new apartment. I've bought low VOC paint for the renovators to use, but they're going to use conventional primer. Will there be major outgasing because of the primer? Will the low VOC paint help to contain the offgasing?

I just want to say that we have enough green technology to take that big step, we just need more green developers. Afterall, at the end of the day it is all about the money.
