Combating Unnecessary Blindness

10 million Ethiopians have trachoma—an infection that is one of the leading causes of blindness in the world. His Excellency Girma Wolde-Giorgis, President of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, tells us about efforts to combat unnecessary blindness in his country. He’s joined by ORBIS President and Executive Director Oliver Foot, and Sir Richard Branson, ORBIS Global Ambassador for Sight, who are working to prevent blindness and restore sight throughout the world.
