Underreported: Resettling Refugees in New York City

For the many refugees who arrive in New York each year, building a new life takes a lot of courage and resilience. On today's Underreported, we hear about the realities of everyday life for some of New York's resettled refugees. 19-year-old Fatu Sanoe arrived here from Guinea with her family in September 2005. They fled their home country of Liberia when fighting broke out there. Mo Nom Tee Kham is a 20-year-old Burmese woman who came to New York three years ago via Thailand. Christine Petrie is deputy vice president of resettlement at the International Rescue Committee.

I have a question. You mentioned that the US only accepts 1 percent of the world's refugees. What countries around the world take the most refugees?
