Ingrid Lucia & The Flying Nutrinos play regularly in New Orleans. My local record store ordered "I'd Rather be in New Orleans" for me and it's fun.
I'm just sorry I never crossed paths with Poppa himself.
I was sharing this amazing life story with my wife (we have all teh trappings of modern life with 4 children, ie, debt) and she wanted to know how he supported his family. I only heard a portion of the author's interview. Also, is the Flying Nutrino's music available somewhere?
Was this raft by chance docked in the Hudson River near Chambers Street in the 1990s?
I remember a bizzare raft that had a man living on it that I would look at through my high school window during that time...
