Hans Blix on Global Disarmament

In 2003, Hans Blix was in charge of monitoring Iraq's weapons for the United Nations. Blix joins us today to share his ideas for new strategies to stop the spread of nuclear weapons around the world. He's written a recent article for the Boston Review called "Nuclear Freeze" and is currently chairman of the Weapons of Mass Destruction Commission.

My heart sinks while reminded of a time, before the Iraq disaster, when it seemed that knowledge & common sense still had a chance.
