Actors Richard Topol and Mahira Kakkar portray members of a world-renowned string quartet on the eve of the most important performance of their careers in Michael Hollinger's new play, Opus.

I found Opus to be an engrossing look at the arcane world of the professional musician. The personal interactions were also engaging. The music was beautiful and I was amused at how the actors stylized their faux playing. The play could have done without the gratuitous act of violence at the end.
