Cockburn in his new bio of Rumsfeld says on p. 173 that insurgency was organized before invasion & Indians offered to turn over plans from their sources. U.S. spurned offer. I further learn from an army major friend that Iraqi insurgency was modelled on UK plans, should Nazis' invasion have succeeded. The plans were learned by Baathists who had attended Sandhurst, presumably in 60s or 70s. Does Mr. Allawi have any knowledge of thir?
