Lawrence Vale, head of the Department of Urban Studies and Planning at MIT, joins us for a discussion about how urban identity can be reconstructed in the aftermath of destruction—whether natural or unnatural. Lawrence Vale is the author of The Resilient City: How Modern Cities Recover from Disaster.
