Mirror to America

Friday, October 28, 2005

John Hope Franklin has dedicated his life to scholarship and activism. Throughout his long career he has worked to achieve racial equality in America: he published the best-selling history From Slavery to Freedom in 1947, helped Thurgood Marshall with Brown v. Board of Education in 1954, and was appointed to lead the President’s Initiative on Race by Bill Clinton in 1997. He joins us today to discuss his memoir: Mirror to America.
