An Ivy League degree can open many doors, but according to a new history on admissions policies, it’s often hard to get a foot in the door in the first place. Jerome Karabel examines how these policies changed throughout the 20th century, and what effect they had on women, African Americans, Jews, and Asian Americans at Harvard, Princeton, and Yale. His new book is titled: The Chosen.
