This Saturday, some of the world’s top female distance runners will vie for top prize in the New York Road Runner’s “Circle of Friends Mini 10K.” Kenyan-born Lornah Kiplagat, who is competing for the Netherlands, and Colleen De Reuck, one of America’s finest runners, will both be running. They join us for a look at the state of women’s distance running, what it takes to be a champion among the international elite, and what are some of the challenges female road racers face worldwide.
