Kathy Gannon worked as a freelancer and AP correspondent in Pakistan and Afghanistan from 1986 to 2005. She was the only female journalist to be in Afghanistan throughout the Taliban rule, and she was the only Western journalist allowed into Kabul after 9/11. She tells us what she learned during 18 years in Afghanistan in I is for Infidel: From Holy War to Holy Terror.
