Investigative journalist David Rose interviewed guards, officials, and the prison commander at Guantanamo Bay to get to the bottom of the detainee situation there. He shares his findings and criticisms in Guantanamo: America’s War on Human Rights. Jill Sobule, who had a hit single in 1995 with "I Kissed a Girl," joins us with a live performance of songs from her new album of eccentric pop ballads: Underdog Victorious. Filmmaker Alain Corneau discusses his new movie, Fear and Trembling — a comedic look at the perils of cultural misunderstandings. Finally, we’ll take a look at the realities and myths surrounding Thanksgiving in our new Please Explain feature. Kathleen Curtin, a food historian at Plimouth Plantation, and Dr. Marvin Kranz, an American history specialist at the Library of Congress, discuss the evolution of Thanksgiving traditions.
