Michael Dobbs has thoroughly researched the FBI archives to find material for his new book, Saboteurs: The Nazi Raid on America. Eight German saboteurs were trained under the Nazis, went to the East Coast by submarine, and disembarked with the aim of infiltrating American life and finding potential targets for German attack.
