Friday, December 17, 2004

Our weekly feature, Please Explain takes on the subject of search engines. Dr. Elizabeth Liddy, a Professor in the School of Information Studies at Syracuse University and Director of its Center for Natural Language Processing, is considered to be one of the pioneers in search engine research. She’s joined by Michael Specter, a New Yorker staff writer since 1998, who has written about search engines for the magazine.
