Ann Bookman is currently Executive Director of the MIT Workplace Center at the Sloan School of Management, and was formerly the Policy and Research Director at the Women's Bureau of the U.S. Department of Labor. She’s the author of Starting in Our Own Backyards: How Working Families Can Build Community and Survive the New Economy.
