Dear George C. Wolfe:

Harlem Song was wonderful. I was shocked to hear a part of a song "Negroes are tired of not seeing themselves."

I used this sentence in an article I wrote for the Oswegonian, the SUNY at Oswego newspaper, in 1966. I am curious to know if the sentence was taken from that article, or did someone else coin this. I read many Black authors at the time. Hopefully, I didn't take it from another author without giving credit.

Your response would be greatly appreciated.
