Charles Gwathmey

Architect Charles Gwathmey showed his love of Modernism and geometrical complexity not only in his designs for public buildings (like the 1992 addition to the Guggenheim, the International Center of Photography, and the Museum of the Moving Image), but also -- and especially –- those for private homes. He died recently at the age of 71. But you can hear his interview with Leonard Lopate and Paul LeClerc on May 1, 1996, about the new Library of Science, Industry, and Business.
