Friday, July 08, 2005
"William Wyler's America", a summer film festival at Bard College in the Hudson Valley, opens Sunday. Movie-director Wyler was born in Europe, but his films are much admired these days, says WNYC’s Sara Fishko, for telling stories that are peculiarly American. Dodsworth opens the Wyler film festival this Sunday, followed by Come and Get It and The Westerner, Jezebel and many others. The Wyler films can be seen through mid-August as part of "Summerscape" at Bard College in Annandale-on-Hudson.Here is the next Fishko Files.
