Enjoyed the show; thank you. One report at what happented at the Sacre riot ("Diaghilev: A Life" by Sjeng Scheijen, per Joan Acocella review in 9/20/10 New Yorker The Showman): "the people who hissed were not conservatives but avant-guardists - the "snobs," he calls them - who, on seeing this barbaric spectacle, felt that they had been pushed out of the vanguard by something larger than they."
Reminds me of the opening scene of "The Red Shoes."
Loved the documentary on Culture Shock! I have been studying about "Modernism" and the story was right on the mark. Keep up the good work.
