what was the Bach piece that was just on?
What was that piece after the Bach cello prelude? It had vocals in it--lots of very small intervals. It sounded like Steve Reich.
Oh, they played the whole suite suite? (I just heard up to the allemande)
That was the wrong Writer's Almanac! Has somebody forgotten that it's January 20, the day we got a new president?
Thank you, Terrance, for opening the program with the John Williams inaugural piece, and keeping us connected with the spirit of this historic, wonderful day!
my first time listening while online. I was hoping for a listing of the music being currently played ala WFMU. Maybe soon T?
nooooo don't play Garrison Keiller again!
Marvin Gaye! What' Goin' On! One of my favorites too. The "A" side of that album is one of the brilliant musical expressions of the era.
Marvin Gaye lyric: "Only love can conquer hate."
