Since moving to the United States from his native Japan, Hiroya Miura has found success as a composer, conductor and performer. A 2005 Graduate of Columbia University, Miura is also a founding member of the electronic improvisation unit, NoOneReceiving.


Hiroya Miura

As a composer, Hiroya Miura's works have been performed by Speculum Musicae, the New York New Music Ensemble, Nouvel Ensemble Moderne, Timetable, and Sō Percussion. Also active as an educator, conductor, and performer, Miura has received awards and fellowships from the Mellon Foundation, the Atlantic Center for the Arts, and the American Composers Forum.
