Berlin Without Walls
Theo Bleckmann has been a steady force in New York's jazz and new music scene for over 15 years. The vocalist/composer talks about his most recent release, a collection of Cabaret songs from his native Germany, inspired by American politics and German history.

Theo Bleckmann

Genre -bending, -skipping and -skirting, vocalist/composer Theo Bleckmann has been a steady force in the jazz and new music scene in New York for over 15 years. A Winter & Winter recording artist, Bleckmann's whimsical collection of showtunes, Las Vegas Rhapsody, has been described as "the most transcendent vocal album in many a moon" by The Village Voice. Bleckmann's latest release is the politically-inspired cabaret collection Berlin - songs of love and peace, war and exile.
