Rob Schwimmer

Rob Schwimmer has performed and recorded with everyone from Simon and Garfunkel to Queen Latifah. His recent CD release, "Beyond the Sky," was described by The New York Times as "a tour of Mr. Schwimmer's musical house, moving from room to room without much concern about whether the material at hand is classical or jazz, improvised or carefully plotted."

"Waltz for Clara" is still my favorite, no matter which musical instruments are used. In fact, each one gives us a glimmer into yet another aspect of the complexity of the theme.

Your music unfolds like a story...written...but the listener gets the thrill of applying boundless characters and scenery and up to the richness of their own imagination tag-lined to your compositions. Love it!

Rob's apparent gentle demeanor and sincere speaking humility may be a measure of the man, but it is not indicative of the ceiling of his musical expression and abilities.

What are his musical limitations? I think "Beyond the Sky" sums it up pretty well.

Nice interview, Rob and Dave.
