So porn stars can't have valid opinions of opera? Why not? Anyway, I agree with Mr. Preston that the Vickers recording is very sexy. I find the sexiest part in the Liebesnacht to come when neither Tristan nor Isolde are singing but, during Brangaene's warning; unfortunately, not in this recording where she sounds distorted. There is an excerpt recording with Melchior and Flagstad with Coates conducting and while the uncredited Brangaene sings pianissimo, one can feel the physical sexuality of the music!

I can't believe they've spent this long talking about sexy and opera without mentioning Nathan Gunn!

Also please play the most passionate aria of the all: Nessun dorma. You choose the singer. And strangely I always wanted to hear a woman sing this!

Wasn't this week supposed to be about Tristan? Seems like you ran out of material pretty fast.

The sexiest singing needs the underpining of a thrilling timbre that vibrates with emotion, with a sense of urgency and an apparent mission.

The words, as well as the music, must leap forward with a melos-like inevitability,

Nominations for sexy singers: Pinza, Roswaenge, Gigli, Melchior, Caruso, Ruffo.
