I find the sexiest part in the Liebesnacht to come when neither Tristan nor Isolde are singing but, during Brangaene's warning; unfortunately, not in this recording where she sounds distorted. There is an excerpt recording with Melchior and Flagstad with Coates conducting and while the uncredited Brangaene sings pianissimo, one can feel the physical sexuality of the music!

I can't believe they've spent this long talking about sexy and opera without mentioning Nathan Gunn!
