Niccolò Paganini
Paganini's Caprice No. 24 for solo violin has been covered by composers from Brahms to Rachmaninoff. We hear a jazzed-up version in David Nathaniel Baker, Jr.'s 1976 remake, "Ethnic Variations on a Theme of Paganini." Also, a rare piano piece from John Tavener, and music for the modern guitar by New York-based composer Andrew McKenna Lee.

You always surprise. The guitar music by Andrew McKenna Lee was totally new to me.
What piece or album was playing up to 9:30 p.m.? It kept me in the kitchen long after I'd done the dishes.

Thank you for this list Terrance, I was already trying to figure out where to find these pieces to purchase. Had a hard time even getting the names correct and could not see the playlist: in general, when are playlists posted?
Holy Crap that Andrew McKenna Lee piece stopped me in my tracks. I had to sit down to take it in. The guitarist or composer must have some Spanish going on. I didn't know stuff that cool was allowed.
