Bagatelles and Serenades
Valentin Silvestrov's Bagatelles have been described as x-rays of his melodic imagination. Greatly admired by composers Arvo Pärt and Alfred Schnittke, the pieces are reminiscent of Schumann's miniatures for the piano.
