Cloud Studies for Twelve Flutes

Monday, August 06, 2007

Kraft wrote this piece in 1989 for his friend John Solum, revising it three times over the next few years. Despite the title, the piece actually uses more than 12 flutes (some of the players double on other flutes as well). We hear it tonight from Solum and his flute ensemble from Vassar College.
