The first report by Elmer Davis, Chief of Office of War Information.

German counter-attack in the Southern Ukraine. Russians in the North; costly German successes in the South. Men and women are being forced in to German service; other means of drafting. Russian campaign is the greatest in all history. German Field Marshall Rommel in Tunisia. The weather changes expected in Tunisia may impact the German submarine's success in sinking of Allied forces ships. It has been a quiet week in the Pacific. The Lend Lease Act has been renewed. Tax week.
