First edition. Editors from four college newspapers question Dr. George Counts of Columbia University, Liberal Party candidate for US Senate for New York. Panel includes Estelle Segal of the Brooklyn College Kingsman, Erwin Chafkin of the New York University Washington Square College Bulletin, Don Himes of the Columbia Spectator, and Martin Deutsch of the City College Observation Post. Topics include how the Liberal Party strengthens the Democratic ticket, history and goals of the New York State Liberal Party, Eisenhower vs. Stevenson, McCarran Committee and immigration, American Federation of Teachers, preventing communist party members from teaching in schools, redistricting, the role of college papers in national politics, lowering voting ages to include more college students, and the Korean War.
