  There is a 71st ASSEMBLY district...maybe a misunderstanding of the type of district?

  Don't know about the other states, but the New York references sound like people used state Assembly districts rather than Congressional districts -- by accident, or because state legislators were attempting to get credit for bringing the grants to their districts.

  When building databases like this, you always load 'test' data to check how well it works. It sounds like test data was loaded by the developer but not totally removed before launch. There are various stages of launch such as soft for testing before actual hard launch.

  As in posts 1 & 2, the same seems to be the case in that 42nd district in CT. Maybe J. Karl can get to the bottom if he searches by the district number WITHOUT the type designation. Good reporting by Jonathan Karl on the issue.

  This seems to indicate that there needs to be someone paying a bit more attention to the paperwork when they are documenting the money trail. Sloppy paperwork doesn't work in bathroom business OR government finance. (There IS a difference... isn't there?)
