    Latin lesson:

    alumnus -- man (singular)

    alumni -- several men (plural)

    alumna -- woman (singular)

    alumnae -- several women (plural)

Radio Rookies has had a few good segments but has generally been a bore. This is something that should been done at the school or Boy Scout/Girl Scout level. I'm sure if there was a vote among contributors, this segment would not get a lot of support. There have also been a few phony stories, like the story on "gun trafficking." WNYC seems to highlight tiny segments of bizarre and alternative communities, ignoring what the vast majority of the hardworking people do in this city.

Thank you for the response, I understand.

    But, the segments are terrible.

sorry about that. I am sure if the rookies were from the dalton school I wouldn't have had to post my previous comment. But I guess that's the point!
