Robocup!

Elizabeth Sklar, Associate Professor of Computer Science at Brooklyn College and organizer of the Robocup Jr. competition, on artificial intelligence, high school robotics teams, and - of course - dancing robots.

Event: Robocup Jr. Regional Tournament.
Sunday 1:30-4:00 at the New York Hall of Science in Queens.

    How utterly timely!! FOXnews did a segment on a robot that 'woke up' and nearly killed a man. The web is full of news stories on such muderous behaviors by certain robots. This is scary....please mention.

    I just tuned in to the discussion about robots - we were talking about this the other day. I'm waiting desperately for my "Rosie" from the Jetsons - cooking, cleaning, and helping with homework!

    lynnette and sunyoung - Yes, visitors are welcome to watch the RoboCupJunior tournament. The Dance Performance event begins at 1:30, and Soccer and Rescue Finals start at 2:30. The event is included with paid museum admission.
