I am a fan of kiva.org and wondered if there was something similar in the U.S. I'll check out IOBY. Hopefully this will expand nationally and include projects out side of green projects.
a huge improvement to reduction of nyc's carbon footprint would be taxi stands instead of empty cabs driving around all the time. also contributing are the idling refrigerated trucks making food deliveries to restaurants, stores and now have increased since fresh direct makes deliveries to individuals - some of their trucks are incredibly noisy as well.
How does the third world country corrupt governments play role in your efforts? Constructive or else!!
IOBY sounds like a great project. New Yorkers are lucky to have dedicated citizens like Ms. Barnes.
A very cool idea...Looking forward to funding your interesting projects...
A great project with great people running it.
