    In my experience, ALL employment agencies have deceptive practices. It seems like standard operating procedure. They all say they have well-paying permanent jobs (and advertise them), but when you get to the agencies, they only have temp work, and half the time they don't even have that. They should all be shut down.

    I'm glad to hear the info on DCA's website is available in multiple languages. I hope this conversation is also taking place on radio & TV in multiple languages, especially Spanish.

    I have been temping for four years in Manhattan.

    I was never asked for money. The company that hires me as a temp always pays the fee.

    Maybe I have been fortunate but I never had a problem with scammers.

    Low pay yes but no scammers.
