Hi Bill. Same question I had last week: regarding Palin potentially charging rape victims for their "rape kits"; you specified that this was sort-of true (because victims' insurance companies were charged), but made sure to point out that this was distinct from the individuals themselves being charged.
So does Alaska not share the lower 48 states' private healthcare system, wherein the patient pays for his/her healthcare, either with cash or via premiums, deductibles, and co-pays? If so, I certainly see the point of your distinction. Please explain. Thanks.
Is it true that Palin is being sued by some disability groups in Alaska for cutting funding?
From On The Media from 9/18/08:
Uncorrectable
There’s been no shortage of fact-checkers this campaign season. But Washington Post columnist Shankar Vedantam explains that a number of new studies suggest people don't let go of political misinformation after hearing a correction. In fact, the misinformation spreads.
"SHANKAR VEDANTAM: That’s exactly right. So, in other words, when people are predisposed to buy a piece of bad information, the refutation ends up essentially not correcting the misinformation entirely. It corrects it only part way, leaving residual feelings of negativity toward whoever the target of the misinformation was."
who funds politico? or this fact check? does anybody know?
What is the per person earmarks in the state for Obama and Palin? and where do they rank overall in the country?
what about palin killing the wolves from helicopters
Did Biden actually say that FDR got on TV in 1929 to reassure the country after the stock market crash?
Did he refer to Sen. Obama as "clean and articulate?"
Did he say, " “you cannot go to a 7-Eleven or a Dunkin’ Donuts unless you have a slight Indian accent.”
Who's "not qualified!"
