Actually the fact that Sen. Barack Obama stands a good chance of being our next President gives me, a true cynic and misanthrope, as much hope as I'm ever likely going to get.
The movie "Once." And it's soundtrack. It has very strong song writing, and the story is not traditional love story, but inspiring nonetheless.

I had a wonderful Spring teaching my seventh graders “The Tempest” and my eighth graders “Much Ado About Nothing”. These middle school students learned the plays, then performed scenes from these plays in front of hundreds of people. They spoke with understanding and emotion. They also had a blast. As their teacher, I was extremely proud.
Trees are blooming in Brooklyn, and summer is near!
