Thanks for not forgetting there are other news we want to hear about besides Spitzer and his indiscretions.

Dan, the (moonlighter) manhole drawing Cop here....

I was in shooting and can tell you that tunnel vision and temporary deafness kicks in....I didn't see or hear anything else other than what I was doing once that part of the incident began. It lasted only a few seconds. Also, I saw everything in slow motion and could not stop what I was doing. It was like my body was dislodged from my mind. It distorted what I saw.

But who initiated the shooting, Dan?

  • [5] James Brownski March 14, 2008 - 10:40AM

Can it be agreed that these "police officers" made a horrible mistake on the job and should at least be forced to find a new line of work?

  • [6] Dan from Kearny, NJ March 14, 2008 - 10:52AM

Paulo....They did. Two hold up men, fleeing, fired two shots at me and tried to run me down.

It was like being in a car accident and seeing it unfold before you in slow motion. I know the term for it but can't spell it. Tachephsycia Effect...something like that. And even then, as clearly as you THINK you see what is happening - it is distorted.

I love your show and I have been a listener for many many years. I am about to join the 21 century (I'm 74) and subscribe to the podcast of your show.

I would make one comment abouit Spitzer saying that I agree with one of the commentators on your show questioning Spitzer's sanity. This is strangely remniscent of the Judge Wochler (sp) bipolar story.

I also thinh that you were uncharacteristically abrupt with the internist who reported a new use for naltrexone in acquired immunity disorders. I would like to know his website.

Thank you again for your most incredible show an d your most remarkable fairness

Is it possible that the cops are in the right?

  • [9] James from New York March 15, 2008 - 01:21AM

Media speculation about trials is pointless & misleading. If one is not in the court throughout ALL of the proceedings one can only distort the evidence & testimony presented.
