    IS THIS CNN? ! ? !

This is pure speculation and rumor mongering.

Please recognize the difference between a developing story and breaking news. I'll give you a hint: this is NOT breaking news.

    We expect better from WNYC.

It seems like it's likely that an anarchist(s) is behind this - http://bombsandshields.blogspot.com/2007/10/new-york-new-york-u.html It fits mo of not targeting people etc.

more people were affected by the building collapse which the buildings department bureaucracy failed to prevent. the cities reaction to a little "bomb" is going over board buildings fall all over the city they do no thing. the "bomber" is just a prankster. landlords kill people also.

Interesting detail re: attack on English Consultate, the police initially accused (and publicized) the name of a Dutch UN employee in charge of analyzing satellite imagery (incl. the search for WMDs in Iraq).

His house was searched, computers impounded and never returned. The fact that he was an amateur pilot did not help.

He was dismissed as a suspect after the UN intervened.

The way this person told me the story, his 'offense' was walking to close to the yellow line and followed the instructions of NYC cops to the letter (i.e. Do not cross the yellow line).

He has never received an apology. He sued the NY police department (or the city). Not sure if he won. He has left the US as a result of his treatment.

During his incarceration he was told that if he did not shut up and confess they would send him to Guantanamo.

I find your theory that, like computer hackers, perhaps the bomber was trying to expose weaknesses most intriguing. However, I consider an even more likely reason would be that, using their cloaking device to create a holographic image of a bicycle rider as a diversionary tactic, the Romulans fired phasers into the kiosk window.

Seriously, what I am seeing and hearing these days more and more at times makes me ashamed to call myself a liberal.

    The bombing was great!

No one got hurt and the recruiting station was damaged and was put out of business for a while.

Since the recruiting station wasn't able to sign men & women up to die in Iraq it was a success.

With the level of injustice in this world some times people have to take things into their own hands.

michael winslow, so you advocate such actions and perhaps those of ELF in Washington state and maybe even abortion clinics?

  • [8] michael winslow from INWOOD March 07, 2008 - 12:11PM

Not at abortion clinics I'm all for having a choice.

However as long as no one is injured.

    ELF yes all the way!

    what about the underground railroad?

    Slaves were helped to freedom

they were property and people were taking the law into their own hands and helping slaves be free.

    what is the differnce.

As long as no one is hurt blow it up!
