Yeah, right, NYT put out story "early". Bwahahahaha. In fact, they held it since the Iowa caucus and wanted to keep holding it. MSM always protects lying, cheating, corrupt Rs.

Reporters will close ranks & protect McCain (his "base" is MSM), just liked they closed ranks to protect Bush on WMDs.

Can you talk about McCain insider Charlie Black?

I was shocked to read in The New Yorker Feb 25th Issue Page 30 in The Political Scene - On The Bus by Ryan Lizza...

"In the front of the bus are eight captain's chairs, where McCain's senior advisers and an assortment of family members sit...

...these include...

... Charlie Black, a quiet North Carolinian who heads one of Washington's biggest lobbying firms..."

Your guests are so obvioulsy biased in his favor, why don't you just call the segment the "John McCain supporters."

The recent Newsweek cover story about McCain's life story was very alarming, almost scandalous. It goes into detail about his temper, about his time in captivity, about his poor performance at the naval academy, about his mediocre performance as a pilot, and even his stubborness which led him to being shot down over Vietnam. It is a serious, informative article, but reading between the lines is very disconcerting.

I believe that this story was fed by the Obama’s minions to the NY Times. It’s a torpedo into the John McCain’s campaign. Watch out and tighten your seat belts we have rough ride ahead. It’s going get very dirty from now on.

Yes it is biased in McCain's favor. If it was Hillary or Obama, I doubt the tenor would be the same.

Yeah, right--it's a media story. There are plenty of named sources in the Times and WaPo stories, and McCain's close ties to K Street are not in question. Nor is his role in Keating. Sex, shmex--John McCain does favors for money!

LOL...I love the Obama accusation just thrown out there willy-nilly...why not one of McCain's numerous enemies in the Republican party? Why not Huckabee? LOL!

If this is all they have on McCain, it seems like someone is really digging hard for dirt.

Not like the Hillbillies and their long list of scandals and corruption, pure and simple.

Someone's afraid that he'll get the Republican nomination.

The N.Y. Times will do anything to increase their readership. They have plenty of skeletons

in their own closet : I.E. Jason Blair. How does the Time's endorse John Mc Cain and then back stabs him with a "story" that goes back eight years?

Most people with common sense will see how diabolical they are and it will hurt them in the long run. Senator Mc Cain

handled this matter by going on the offense. He is sharper than most people think. Although I am not a conservative , Mc Cain possesses the kind of qualities we need to lead a nation of 300 million people. Obama and Clinton pale

in Mc Cains wake.

this story is utter rubbish. do americans honest believe that their presidents are free from blemishes? who cares if he did or did not. LBJ signed civil rights legislation but was a racist and often used the N word. Nixon opened up china but was a criminal.

please realise that leaders are prone to making mistakes and have character flaws but you elect them because they have a certain avarice that you trust.

I'd heard speculation on the news shows that NYTimes' hand was forced, by The New Republic, which was going to do a story on the conflict within the Times on whether to run it or not.

I don't think the Times is timing this story to discredit McCain. Here is why, firstly, the show raised a good point that if the Times desired to destroy McCain's campaign, they would have done it later on in the general election. Secondly, the Times came out to endorse McCain themselves earlier this month. These are the two points that show that there is no masked intention in the Times's story and that the sotry was published in good faith and with good journalistic integrity.

If you think the New York Times is attacking John McCain, that’s nothing compared to what Iran is doing to attack his character. Check out this great blog post about the Iranian government claiming McCain is involved in a Jewish conspiracy!
